Position: IT Mananger - Architect

Job Description:
RealTime Gaming is currently looking for an IT Manager to grow, manage and supervise its Information Services team. The IT Manager has cross-functional responsibilities for both the management of the infrastructure and security architecture of RealTime Gaming. This position will assist in developing both the short term as well as long-term plan for technology, processes and standards in support of these areas. It should provide technical leadership, direction and expertise to peers, leadership and associates on the overall infrastructure architecture as it relates to the IT and business strategies. Periodically this position will be engaged in projects requiring close interaction with development teams at all phases of the project lifecycle. They will review design and deployment documents to ensure that projects are designed and implemented using proven practices according to infrastructure, operational and security best practices. They should provide day-to-day technical guidance and “hands on” support to the Development team for activities related to the definition, design, construction, testing, performance tuning and certification of RealTime Gaming systems. In order to support the demands of this position, they will be required to maintain expertise in the areas of infrastructure and security architecture, including industry trends, strategies, and products to ensure that RealTime Gaming assets are effectively and efficiently utilized.

Security:

  • Responsible for the development and planning of security strategies, procedures, policies and guidelines for RealTime Gaming.
  • Evaluating, defining and advising the organization on information security methods as well as infrastructure and security best practices.
  • Conduct threat / risk assessments to the IT systems of RealTime Gaming and recommend measures to mitigate identified risks.
  • Recommend and implement policies and procedures to safeguard company and customers’ information and information systems including security requirements, backup and recovery, etc.

New Technology:

  • Research into, evaluate, and identify key systems and emerging technologies for exploitation.
  • Recommends new and enhanced infrastructure including Hardware (servers, network technology, mobile computing devices, etc), OS, middleware, telecoms, data center and associated methodologies. Ensuring infrastructure components meet reliability, adaptability, scalability, portability, reach, supportability, visibility and integration requirements.
  • Provide support for technical implementation certification, migration, integration issues and vendor management for new technologies.

Quality:

  • Maintain an awareness of appropriate industry and vendor standards.
  • Maintain a consistent and high quality approach by following the systems development life cycle.
  • Ensure the quality of the technical implementation through validation of the technical design and the completeness of documentation and procedures for the architecture, design, development, installation, and maintenance of the IT infrastructure and projects.
  • Ensure systems perform in accordance with requirements, applicable industry standards, regulations, laws and company practices.
  • Assist in the development and execution of tests to demonstrate the performance, reliability, scalability and recoverability of production systems and commercial products.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of relevant hands-on technical experience in a progressively complex environment. Must possess strong domain knowledge of network architectures-Experience with Cisco required. Experience with Juniper firewalls preferred.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience utilizing MS Windows 2000/2003. This includes an understanding of Active Directory architecture, DNS, WINS, DHCP, IIS and SQL administration.
  • A thorough, in-depth and applicable understanding of intrusion detection, VPN/firewall, operating system/database-level security, security protocols, and multi-form encryption.
  • Experience conducting technical assessments, including perimeter security, host-based security, and other technical audit-related activities.
  • Must be hands-on, detailed oriented and have the ability to quickly adapt to changes and new ideas.
  • Possess excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, interpersonal, and motivational skills, with the ability to move cleanly from theoretical to implementation thinking.
  • Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and clearly, in writing and/or orally, both in one-on-one and group presentation situations. This position will act as a consultant to the RealTime Gaming business: to identify areas where opportunities or risks exist, facilitate communication between the groups and suggest alternatives and mutually agreeable solutions.

Desired Skills/Certifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Current Microsoft MCSE and/or MCSD certification preferred.
  • Current Cisco CCNA and/or CCNP certification required
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSCP) Certification preferred
